Big Butterflies

You will need:

Cardboard boxes

scissors

Pencil

Exacto knife

paint

brushes

Glue

*Tissue paper or netting

*Googley eyes

pipe cleaners

1. Trace an outline of your butterfly onto your box.

2. Let an adult cut out your butterfly! (Some butterflies had a separate body cut out as well and then glued on)

3. Decide on your design you can draw it on with a pencil and then paint it -or- you can paint a solid color base coat and go from there.

4. Glue on pipe cleaners for antennas and add googley eyes if you want.

5. I cut some shapes out of my wings and glued sparkly netting to give it something more. Using tissue paper could be neat so the light will shine through.

6. Now hang your beautiful butterflies in your room! We are hanging our from the ceiling in our play room.

~You can really use anything you want to decorate your butterflies stickers, ribbon, paint, markers, etc. Let your imagination go crazy! We had 3 people and 3 totally different butterflies... I love it!
