Rainy Day Butterflies

You will need:
Colored tissue paper (darker colors work best)
Paper Towels
Cookie sheet
Marker
Clothes pin
Scrap of paper
Glue
Rain (or a squirt bottle with water in it)
1. Have your child rip different colors of tissue paper into small pieces.
2. Place a paper towel on the cookie sheet.
3. Cover the paper towel with the little pieces of tissue paper
4. Put cookie sheet out in the rain for a few seconds or a minute depending how hard its raining. (You just want the tissue paper to get wet enough to bleed. But you don't want a huge puddle.)
5. Bring the cookie sheet back inside and let sit for a few minutes.
6. Carefully peel off the tissue paper pieces (this is an adult job) and throw them away.
7. Let the colorful paper towel dry.
8. Draw a face on the clothespin and add antennas made of scrap paper.
9. Fold paper towel in half and bunch in the middle...clip with the clothes pin.
10. Your done!
*This one has a lot of steps but it really isn't hard. I hope all of that made sense if not use your imagination I am sure you can make it work!
